To be honest, the only time that I waited for in the entire year was the summer holidays. Visiting family members close and distant, aunties greeting us with biscuits and chai every home we visit was entirely a different feel. But the year 2018 was quite different. We didn't make that occasional visit to India, there was nothing to feel excited about after all.
Just imagine you prepared your favorite dish, but accidently you stumbled over the chair and it fell all over the floor. Staring at that, I know, its the worst feeling ever! This was exactly what I felt of not going to India, not waking up to the beautiful prayer song, the peculiar smell of India, taste of my grandma's wonderful curries. Ah...thinking about it makes my mouth water now. All the five senses have a rebirth each time we visit India.
My assignments from school was piling up. I was pretty bored but I had to complete my research so took up a course environment and its impacts. That is when I came across this graph which completely changed my life.
You might be thinking something as silly as a graph have could it possibly change someone's life. Well, for me it was more than life changing. It opened my eyes to my future.
I had to really take a moment to process the information. This seemed like humans were on their road to their mass extinction or what! I was quiet angry and conflicted at that point. If carbon emissions go like this for another 10 years, we all are roast. That was really the moment I thought yes, I really know what my passion will be. I was never more sure of anything else.
Realized the extent to which the climate was going to be affect people around me. Something in my heart suddenly demanded me to speak up this for this cause. From that day on there was no turning back. You won't believe what happened next.(Coming PART 2)
WE RIDE THE FUTURE OR THE FUTURE WILL SOON RIDE US.
I love this!!
Waiting eagerly for the next part......
